"Nimbus" is the type of dense cloud or cloud mass with ragged edges that produces rain or snow. From the windows of our production site you can see the mountains surrounding the Vallagarina, and our eyes are often turned to the peaks where the clouds form that can bring snow in winter or signal good conditions for paragliding in spring.
Nimbo Srl is a robotics engineering company founded in 2020 in Rovereto, within Polo Meccatronica — Trentino's technology hub where entrepreneurs, researchers and companies develop innovative products and processes together.
Ours is the world of "small and precise": we design solutions that miniaturise complex applications, handling micro-components with unmatched precision.
Our goal has always been to bring technologies once reserved for academia and research into the world of industry.
Sharing know-how with the Client is essential to designing a truly effective robotic system, and managing shared information is a priority for us.
We believe real value comes from the meeting of skills, experience and people. That's why we foster strong, lasting collaborations, valuing the contribution of every collaborator and partner.
We love the place where we're lucky enough to work, and we're committed to applying solutions that promote energy saving and support ecology.
Expert researcher skilled in robotics, computer science, computer vision and Linux. Holder of a PhD specialising in mechatronics, robotics and automation engineering earned at the University of Verona. He collaborated for years with the Altair Robotics Lab, where the technologies underlying robotic teleoperation in surgery were developed, and with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena (USA), where he developed software architectures for space robotics.
Head of Research and Development for an Italian-Swiss group active in the watch case-making (habillage) industry for more than a decade, he has applied his academic background to the ongoing search for innovative materials and the most advanced processing technologies. He actively took part in the work of the Swiss Watch Industry Federation (FHS) on the adoption and revision of European regulations on nickel release, contributing to the definition of the reference standard EN 1811.
Our site is located within Polo Meccatronica, the Trentino ecosystem where research, education and business work side by side. A location that keeps us connected to the latest industry innovations and lets us collaborate with leading academic and industrial partners.
From here we design and integrate solutions for customers across Italy and abroad.
